Single use plastic -free campus

An expert talk was organized in the college DAV CTE KORAPUT on the topic “Single-Use Plastic–Free Campus and Sustainable Development" on 07 January 2026. Dr. Rakhee Nayak, Assistant Professor, delivered the expert talk to the B.Ed. trainees. She highlighted the harmful effects of single-use plastics on the environment and emphasized the importance of creating a plastic-free campus. The session aimed to create awareness among the youth about limiting the use of single-use plastics and encouraging the adoption of reusable and eco-friendly alternatives. The talk was informative and motivated the students to actively contribute towards sustainable development. After that an essay competition was organised on the topic ' Single use plastic -free campus. A step towards sustainable future '.
